Hi Pascal,
we have a similar request from Martin K. about this. The idea is that you can store and, of course, view the capacity of the respective team members per sprint. Would that be enough?

Jan Kuntscher: This information is not realy helpfull right now. What Peter suggest ist actually what would help us. A place where each Team can put in their absence and usualy working hours per day and the SM then sees ow much capacity is availble in the Team

Are you thinking of some kind of Calendar integration, for example with a Google Calendar?
At least in our Team Capacity Planning is a very complex topic which does not only take Holidays in the various Locations of the Team Members into account but also regular and non-regular Team-Events as well as Non-Team Events that only occupy one or some Team-Members. Even with a true Calendar integration I could not imagine how to parse this kind of Information from a Calendar without intimate knowledge of the Team.
I could however ink of a simplified calendar view where, in preparation of a Planning, Team Members can add their expected Off-Times on each day. The Team could have a blueprint with regular Team-Events already in place. Such a view (we did this in a Google Sheet in the past) would be very useful for our team, I think. Would that also fulfill your requirements?

Peter Körner: We right know use a excel where the Team members put in there planned absence and based on the Team members working contract (Part or fulltime) we calculate the available hours. To have TEams velocity within the Train comparable, we have a normalized SP with 8h of uninterrupted work. So a simple calender where the Team can put in there absence and the tool than does the math would be something nice. But please no google calender or something, our company does not allow google.

Pascal: Hi all,
I would also not use Google, sorry, Seibert-Media people ;-)
But depending on the maturity of the teams, I would sooner or later switch to an experience based planning. So if I take the measure of the Agile Hive report, there should be a valid evaluation of your velocity after a while. You don't need to use the excel sheet then.
Cheers
